How Olive works

Olive shows
every step.

Every fact traces to a source. Every change waits for a person. Here is exactly how Olive reads, decides and drafts, and where a person takes over.

Layer 01 · The noticeA rule changes. Olive reads the notice itself, not a headline about it.

The product, start to finish

Watch Olive work.

Two rule changes, from first question to audit binder, in 64 seconds.

First, your program

Built from your documents. Confirmed by you.

Olive starts from what your company already has and shows you everything found before writing a word of it.

01

Olive reads your documents

Your program, entry records, forms and policies, uploaded or picked from Google Drive or OneDrive. No documents? Olive interviews you instead.

02

You confirm the facts

What Olive found comes back to you first: products, codes, origins, the people who own each job. You correct or confirm it before anything is written.

03

Olive drafts nine sections

Classification, valuation, origin, recordkeeping, screening and the rest, each written from your confirmed facts, every line tagged with its evidence.

04

You sign to adopt it

It becomes your program when a named person at your company signs it. From then on, Olive keeps it current.

Every line says where it came from.

Each element of your program carries one of three labels. In the workspace you can narrow the whole program to only what is quoted.

Document quote

Lifted from a passage in your own documents, and it shows you which one.

Inferred from scope

Worked out from context where nothing says it outright. Labeled so you know.

Scaffolding required

No source at all. Olive proposes a standard and queues it for you to fill.

The same four steps, on every change

How Olive keeps
it current

  1. Checks the sources that reach your trade, every day.

Your program subscribes to the regulators that apply to what you import and export: where your goods come from and where they go. Missing one? Ask for it inside Olivra and the team builds it.

  2. Reads each change against your company, not the whole industry.

Olive compares the notice with the facts you confirmed: your codes, origins and destinations, your filers and the parties you trade with. What comes out is the sections of your program it actually reaches.

  3. Decides what it asks of you, on three plainly defined levels.

Informational means nothing to do. Action required means something to review or re-evidence. Urgent means a deadline or a cost is already running.

  4. Drafts the change. You decide. Everything is logged.

Olive writes the exact edit, with citations, into each section it reaches. Nothing is applied until someone at your company approves it, and the approval is recorded.

Checks on Olive

Olive's judgment is checked against your facts.

Olive reads like an expert, and some of those calls are then held to what your company has actually confirmed, in code, every time.

01

Your documents outrank Olive's reading

When your records show a rule does not reach your product, the change cannot be rated above informational.

02

Origin is checked, not guessed

A duty aimed at goods from a country you do not source from is capped, however urgent the notice sounds.

03

Olive won't invent your codes

Alerts never name an HTS code or duty rate for your goods unless it is one you confirmed.

04

One draft per notice, not per version

When a newer revision of the same publication lands, such as the next tariff schedule, Olive drafts for the newest instead of stacking drafts.

05

No false precision

You will never see a confidence percentage. Evidence is labeled for what it is, and every draft cites its sources.

06

Urgent always reaches you

Urgent changes are emailed to your owners and admins even if they turned alerts off.

What Olive never does.

Olive works for your compliance team. The decisions, the filings and the legal calls stay with people.

  • NeverApply a change without a person approving it
  • NeverFile or submit anything on your behalf
  • NeverGive legal advice or stand in for your broker or counsel
  • NeverTrain AI models on your documents
  • NeverCall a source Live before it has produced a real, mapped change
  • NeverEdit or erase the record of who approved what

Missing a source?

Ask for it inside Olivra. On Monitoring, name an agency, a publication or a link, and Olive checks it against the sources already on your plan: often one of them carries it. If not, the request goes to the Olivra team to build, and you can follow it under Your requests.
